The Challenge begins around 8:00:01 AM Pacific Daylight Time (“PDT”) on October 16, 2026 and ends at 7:59:59 AM PDT on October 19, 2027 or when all prizes have been awarded, whichever is sooner (“Challenge Period”).

ELIGIBILITY:  CHALLENGE IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, WHO ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE AND WHO HAVE A VALID NBA 2K AND MYPLAYER ACCOUNT. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. PLAYERS MUST OWN OR HAVE ACCESS TO NBA 2K27 ON PLAYSTATION 5 (“PS5”), XBOX SERIES (“XBS”), SWITCH 2 OR STEAM. By participating, players agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all applicable game rules and regulations and the decisions of the judges and/or 2K Games, Inc. (“2K”), which are binding and final on all matters relating to this Challenge. Challenge is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws. 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: During the Challenge Period, play NBA 2K27 and participate in the American Express Theater Takeover within The City and complete at least three (3) games per day on October 16, 2026, October 17, 2026, and October 18, 2026. The first two hundred thousand (200,000) eligible players to complete this challenge during the Challenge Period will be winners (“Winners”).

2K may prohibit any player from participating in the Challenge or receiving any prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that such player has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Challenge by cheating, hacking, unfair playing practices, the use of any script, macro or other automated means of entry or if such player has otherwise violated 2K’s NBA 2K Player Code of Conduct or End User License Agreement. 

WINNER NOTIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS: Eligible winners will be notified via an in-game message. Prize will automatically be delivered in-game to eligible winners within seven (7) days of notification.

CHALLENGE PRIZE: Up to two hundred thousand (200,000) Winners will win the following in-game items in NBA 2K27: one (1) American Express branded t-shirt, and one (1) American Express branded joggers.

For the avoidance of doubt, any prizes that are in-game virtual goods or in-game virtual currencies: (i) have no monetary value; (ii) must not be used outside of NBA 2K27; and (iii) must only be used in accordance with Sponsor’s Terms of Service, located at www.take2games.com/legal. To the maximum extent permitted by law, prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. Prizes may not be substituted, assigned or transferred or redeemed for cash, however Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Limit one (1) prize per person.

PUBLICITY GRANT: Each winner, by acceptance of a prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, avatar/user name and likeness, social handle/username and profile picture, address (city and state), and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, without notice or review or approval. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating in the Challenge, players agree that 2K, NBA Properties, Inc., the National Basketball Association, the Women’s National Basketball Association, NBA Media Ventures LLC, NBA TV LLC, (collectively “the NBA Entities”), American Express Travel Related Services Inc., and  their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by players against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Challenge. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, undelivered or garbled entries, in-game messages, rewards, or other communications of any kind; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Challenge, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Challenge, the functionality of the Game, the announcement of the prizes, or in any Challenge-related materials. The Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by players, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Challenge. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other player's computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in this Challenge. Players who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Challenge, the Game or any associated website or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by 2K, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. 2K reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate the Challenge at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, if any portion of the Challenge is, in 2K’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the 2K, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of, or participation in, the Challenge. If 2K terminates any Challenge, 2K may, at its sole discretion, either withhold the Challenge’s prize or award prizes to players who completed all applicable Challenge requirements prior to the Challenge being terminated or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by 2K.
