The most exciting time of year in NBA 2K Mobile is about to get even more epic. As we approach the final event with Playoffs cards, we’d like to share with you what is around the corner and what’s coming in the more distant future.
WHAT’S GOING ON NOW (AND NEXT)
In case you haven’t heard, 3v3 Gauntlet returns this week for its second run. We were thrilled to see the positive feedback around it last time, and we’ll make sure it’s a mainstay in the event rotation going forward. This week’s event has a unique setup, too – streaks will feature opponents based on playoff seeding in each conference.
Oh, and the top reward is Pink Diamond Steph Curry.
Think Playoffs theme is stacked? Just wait until you see the next one. And then after that, we’ll run the theme with all lefties that you just voted on. Can expect to see Harden, Ginobili, and more of the best southpaws.
May will also feature the arrival of cards from a galaxy far away. This set has current superstars like Giannis and an abundance of legends like Larry Bird. They’re cards that you may find yourself showing off to friends or even dropping into your lineup a year or two from now. Speaking of that …
SEASON 4-EVER
Looking well beyond Galaxy Opal and the immediate things coming to the game, we’d like to share an update with you about season transitions. Starting this season, your cards will begin carrying over to new seasons. That means the cards you have today (and will earn tomorrow) will be playable for seasons to come.
Instead of converting to Mentors, all Season 4 cards will remain in your collection and be available to use in your lineups in Season 5. You’ll be able to use Season 4 cards in any mode and you’ll be able to mix-and-match with Season 5 cards.
We understand that this news brings more questions! We’ve got big ambitions for the next season of this game, and we will have more updates to share on this and other new stuff in the near future.
We’re planning for Season 5 to start at the same time as usual – next fall, around the tipoff of the 2022-23 NBA season. Look out for more news on Season 5 later!
Thanks for tuning in.
