Welcome To The One-Stop Shop For All Your NBA 2K22 Player Ratings Needs! As The 2021-2022 NBA Season Progresses And Players Experience The Ebbs And Flows Of The Year, You’ll See Changes To Players’ Ratings In-Game To Match Their Performance On The Court.

The NBA Regular Season is coming down to the wire, with teams on the fringe of making the Playoffs doing all they can to squeak in. Two weeks from now, the NBA Playoffs will kick off, and 16 teams—excluding play-in teams—will fight to claim the Larry O’Brien Trophy. For the latest edition of the Player Ratings, we’re featuring four players who are carrying their respective squads into the postseason: Kyrie Irving, Devin Booker, Jayson Tatum, and Jordan Poole. Their recent performances have elevated their teammates to victory, as well as their NBA 2K22 ratings; let’s take a look.

KYRIE IRVING RATING

Kyrie Irving, Guard, Brooklyn Nets: 92 OVR (+1)

Despite missing his star teammate Kevin Durant for six weeks, Kyrie Irving kept the Brooklyn Nets in contention. On March 15, the former Duke Blue Devil dropped a cool 60 points on the Orlando Magic, lacing 20 of his 31 shot attempts. After turning 30 recently, Uncle Drew can still get buckets at will. With Durant healthy once again, the duo will be tough to beat in the first round if they’re able to make it through the play-in tournament. When they're firing on all cylinders, Irving and Durant are among the best one-two punches in the entire league.

DEVIN BOOKER RATING

Devin Booker, Guard, Phoenix Suns: 91 OVR (+1)

How impressive is Devin Booker? The Suns' superstar missed the first week of March with an ailment, but ever since his return he’s been electric. Phoenix have only lost one of the 10 games they've played with Booker back in the lineup. Booker has poured in at least 23 points per game over that span, and the team’s only loss came when he had a negative plus-minus. Following last year’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals, it’s clear Booker and Co. want revenge and aren’t messing around as they head into the playoffs. Currently, they boast the best record in the NBA, with 61 wins and just 14 losses.

JAYSON TATUM RATING

Jayson Tatum, Forward, Boston Celtics: 90 OVR (+1)

The Boston Celtics have been a formidable team the past few years, in large part thanks to Jayson Tatum—but something feels different this year. Tatum’s been an All-Star the last three seasons, but lately he looks like the best player on the court, propelling the Celtics to become a top-three team in the Eastern Conference. Tatum is averaging a career-high 27.1 points per game and a career-high 8.1 rebounds per game while playing a career-high 36.2 minutes per game. It’s clear he wants the ball in his hands and he’s more than capable of leading his team when it's clutch time.

JORDAN POOLE

Jordan Poole, Guard, Golden State Warriors: 81 OVR (+2)

Before the start of this season, Bay Area pundits were praising this emerging talent on the Golden State Warriors, suggesting he would become the next member of the iconic “Splash Brothers.” If you didn’t know Jordan Poole’s name then, you definitely know it now. The 22-year-old sharpshooter is having a breakout season, scoring 17.9 points per game, shooting 36 percent beyond the arc, and stepping up while Stephen Curry is sidelined with an injury. Poole is playing valuable minutes right now, and he’s making the most of them by scoring more than 20 points in each of his last 14 games.

Following the All-Star break, the NBA picked up right where it left off with a flurry of highlight reel plays, nail-biting matchups, and jaw-dropping performances from some of the league’s marquee players. In the last two weeks, we’ve seen a handful of 50-point games from electrifying guard Ja Morant, crossover specialist Kyrie Irving, and versatile wing scorer Jayson Tatum. Right now, we’re witnessing some of the best basketball of the year—and it’s not even the postseason yet! We’ve still got another month or so until the playoffs begin (and hopefully more must-see matchups) as the regular season comes to a close. In the meantime, let’s break down some of the notable performances we’ve seen recently and how they’ve impacted the player ratings.

Ja Morant, Guard, Memphis Grizzlies: 93 OVR (+1)

JA MORANT RATING

Regardless of the sport, it’s pretty uncommon for a player to be as universally liked as Ja Morant. In his third season, the 22-year-old Grizzlies star is captivating spectators around the world with his raw athleticism and game-changing abilities, drawing comparisons to NBA legend Allen Iverson and vintage Derrick Rose. While those comparisons are undoubtedly compliments, Morant plays with a unique style that’s true to himself, which is why so many NBA fans respect the All-Star guard. On February 28, Morant scored an efficient 52 points by hitting 22 of his 30 shot attempts, leading his squad to victory against the San Antonio Spurs. The Grizzlies are currently second in the Western Conference and it’s largely due to Morant’s contributions this season. He’s a frontrunner for the Most Improved Player award, but he deserves Most Valuable Player votes as well.

James Harden, Guard, Philadelphia 76ers: 92 OVR (+2)

JAMES HARDEN RATING

Since joining the Sixers, James Harden looks happy and right at home next to Joel Embiid. In five games with the team, the former Arizona State Sun Devil has posted 25 points or more in four contests and flirted with triple-doubles consistently. Harden’s always been a stat-sheet stuffer, but more importantly, the Sixers have won every game he’s played in thus far. Sitting as the current No. 2 seed in the East, Doc Rivers’ squad has a better chance than ever to make a run at the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Harden’s playmaking has elevated the performance of his teammates, most notably Tyrese Maxey, and has the team looking like a powerhouse.

Kyrie Irving, Guard, Brooklyn Nets: 91 OVR (+1)

KYRIE IRVING RATING

Kyrie Irving’s talent has never been in question, but lately he’s been reminding everyone why he’s one of the best point guards to ever dribble a basketball. He’s shifty, crafty, elusive with or without the ball, and you can’t help but watch in awe as he dazzles in the lane. In his last three games, Irving has posted 50 points, 19 points, and 38 points respectively, lighting up opposing defenses with efficient field goal percentages. This year, Irving is averaging an absurd 47.7 field goal percentage, making nearly half of all his shot attempts. There’s a good chance the Nets make the playoffs, but they’ll need Irving to make it a reality.

Jayson Tatum, Forward, Boston Celtics: 89 OVR (+1)

JAYSON TATUM RATING

Tatum just turned 24 years old earlier this month, but even as one of the youngest players in the league, he’s already become a three-time All-Star and one of the league’s elite. Capable of wearing down defenders in the post, lulling them to sleep with his handles, or getting physical in the paint, Tatum is a versatile wing player oozing with potential. When the former Duke Blue Devil was drafted five years ago, it didn’t take him long to mature as a scorer and quality defender in the NBA. Year after year, Tatum has continued to build on his skills by improving in all facets of the game. During a primetime game against the Nets recently, Tatum dropped a season-high 54 en route to a six-point win, despite going toe-to-toe with a healthy Kevin Durant. Tatum is too good to fly under the radar anymore, and he’s proving with each game that he’s a born leader.

NBA 2K22 Updated Player Ratings 2.23

NBA All-Star Weekend has arrived! The first half of the NBA regular season is officially in the books, and it was rather eventful, providing some entertaining drama courtesy of the trade deadline. As intriguing as the blockbuster moves are, let’s focus on the players imposing their will around the Association. We’ve seen many players improve their game this season and earn All-Star selections for the first time in their careers. In this edition of the Player Rating Update, we'll break down some recent performances and acknowledge a couple of rising stars in the NBA.

Luka Dončić, Guard, Dallas Mavericks: 95 OVR (+1)

Luka Doncic 95

While swirling trade rumors captured the league's attention, Luka Dončić went beast mode by scoring a career-high 51 points, while adding nine rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block. But the Slovenian prodigy didn’t stop there. Following his career-high game, he scored 45 points, hauled in 15 rebounds, and dished out eight assists in the next for good measure. Upon arriving in Dallas, Luka immediately became the franchise player—and now that Kristaps Porziņģis has been traded to the Washington Wizards, he has full control of the Mavs. Expect Luka to continue balling once the All-Star break is over.

Darius Garland, Guard, Cleveland Cavaliers: 87 OVR (+1)

Darius Garland 87

If the season ended today, there’s a good chance Garland would take home the Most Improved Player hardware. Only three seasons into his career, the 22-year-old Cavs point guard has shown immense promise, leading the team to a record of 35-23—exceeding many NBA pundits’ expectations. Set to make his All-Star debut as a member of Team LeBron, Garland is no longer an under-the-radar playmaker in the league. Capable of scoring at will, facilitating the offense, and impacting the defensive end, Garland is someone to keep an eye on as the Cavs enter the second half of the regular season.

Dejounte Murray, Guard, San Antonio Spurs: 87 OVR (+1)

DeJonte Murray 87

Right now, Dejounte Murray is arguably the biggest threat to Darius Garland’s bid for Most Improved Player of the Year (excluding Ja Morant, but he should be in the MVP conversation). Murray has taken over in San Antonio, running Gregg Popovich’s system and getting all of his teammates involved. The 25-year-old guard is averaging 20 points per game for the first time in his career, reeling in 8.3 rebounds per game (outstanding for his position) and 9.4 assists to rank third in the league. Murray is leaving his mark in all facets of the game right now, and he’s deserving of his first-ever All-Star nod.

Andrew Wiggins, Forward, Golden State Warriors: 85 OVR (+2)

Andrew Wiggins 85

The 2014 No. 1 overall pick has officially found a home in the Bay Area. Traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2019, Wiggins was brought in to fill the void left by Klay Thompson’s injury, and he’s excelled ever since. Wiggins is playing his role to perfection, scoring when needed and administering lockdown defense to nullify an opposing team’s star player, truly doing whatever Steve Kerr’s group needs to win. He’s strung together consistent performances all year long, earning him not just an All-Star selection, but a spot in the All-Star starting lineup. Nine years into his career and Wiggins is playing at another level this season.

NBA 2K22 Updated Player Ratings 1.28

NBA All-Star weekend—generally considered the halfway point of the regular season—is less than a month away, taking place on February 20 in Cleveland, Ohio. Several players made strong bids for an All-Star selection this year, and the highly anticipated starting lineups were recently announced. Featuring LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Ja Morant, Trae Young, Giannis Antetokounmpo, DeMar Derozan, and more, this year’s battle between superstars is sure to be a sight to see—you won’t want to miss it. Before the fun commences in a few weeks, let’s evaluate which players raised their game over the last 14 days in the latest NBA 2K22 Player Ratings.

NBA2K22 Joel Embiid

Joel Embiid, Center, Philadelphia 76ers: 96 OVR (+1)

One of the greatest big men of all time, Shaquille O’Neal, recently said that Joel Embiid deserves to be this year’s MVP, and it’s hard to disagree. This season, the Sixers’ superstar is averaging 29 points per game, 10.8 rebounds per game, 4.3 assists per game, and 1.4 blocks per game. Those numbers are already impressive, but when you consider what he’s doing without Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris, who’s been injured on and off this year, his numbers are even more jaw-dropping. Over his last 10 games, Embiid is scorching the opposition by averaging 35.2 points per game, while adding 11 rebounds per game. The former Kansas Jayhawk is seeing red right now and has more than earned this bump to his overall rating.

NBA2K22 Luka Dončić

Luka Dončić, Guard-Forward, Dallas Mavericks: 94 OVR (+1)

NBA 2K22 poster boy Luka Dončić is doing a little bit of everything lately, which should come as no surprise given his arsenal of skills. Dončić quietly has his team in the middle of the playoff picture with a record of 27-21, rattling off seven wins in the team’s last 10 games. Like Embiid, Dončić has been playing much of this season without his partner in crime, Kristaps Porziņģis. Carrying the load is something the Slovenia native is accustomed to doing, however, and across his last 10 games, he’s posting 27.1 points per game, 11 rebounds per game, and 7.9 assists per game. It’s so easy to forget that he’s still just 22 years old, but it’s exciting to think about how much time he has to continue improving his game.

NBA2K22 James Harden

James Harden, Guard, Brooklyn Nets: 91 OVR (+1)

The Brooklyn Nets have no shortage of star power, but two of their three key players, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, have been forced to miss time due to injury and COVID protocols. Leaving James Harden to put the team on his back—sensing a theme yet? Since maturing into one of the best guards in the league, Harden has been a triple-double machine and has no problem scoring at will. Despite the Nets’ two-game skid recently, the former Arizona State Sun Devil is going above and beyond the call of duty to keep his teammates engaged, averaging 11.8 assists per game over his last 10 games. The Nets will remain a top contender in the Eastern Conference as long as James Harden is on the floor.

NBA2K22 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Guard, Oklahoma City Thunder: 87 OVR (+1)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the brightest young players in the NBA and the face of the Oklahoma City Thunder. It’s been three years since SGA was shipped from the Clippers to the Thunders as a key piece in the Paul George trade, and he’s flourished as the team’s primary ball-handler. SGA plays with such finesse and gracefulness, whizzing passes through defenders and using his elusive speed to make acrobatic plays. If he isn't already, it’s time you put SGA on your radar. NBA 2K22 UPDATED PLAYER RATINGS 01.13.22

To be a member of the 90 Overall Club, you need to have some serious playmaking ability. It’s an elite group reserved for only the finest players in NBA 2K22, and this week, we’re happy to induct a new member to the illustrious circle. DeMar DeRozan has been unstoppable lately, hoisting the Chicago Bulls to victory in back-to-back games with buzzer-beating shots, and it’s earned him a place in the 90 Overall Club. DeRozan joins fellow members Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ja Morant, and Trae Young, who are also receiving bumps to their ratings this week.

DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan, Guard-Forward, Chicago Bulls: 90 OVR (+2)

As we approach the halfway point of the 2021-2022 NBA Regular Season, the MVP debate is starting to heat up. There’s been a bevy of standout performances this season, but what DeMar DeRozan is doing for the Chicago Bulls is spectacular. In his first season with the team, the former USC Trojan is averaging 26.2 points per game, surpassing the 25-point mark for the first time in five years. DeRozan’s always been a skilled scorer, but he’s shifting to a higher gear in his 13th season, leading the Bulls to first place in the Eastern Conference.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Forward, Milwaukee Bucks: 97 OVR (+1)

Reigning 2021 Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is continuing his dominance in 2022, as expected. Giannis is reaching the point where it’s no longer surprising to see him power his way through a wall of defenders and throw the ball down with ease, but his talent shouldn’t be taken for granted. NBA fans are blessed to witness such a unique talent take the floor every week and it’s incredible to consider what he’s already accomplished at just 27 years of age. It’s hard to comprehend the idea of Giannis getting even better, but over the last 14 days he’s averaging an absurd 33.2 points per game, 11.7 rebounds per game, 7 assists per game, and 1.2 steals per game for good measure. This goes without saying, but if you’re playing with the Bucks in NBA 2K22, put the ball in his hands every possession.

Ja Morant, Guard, Memphis Grizzlies: 92 OVR (+2)

There are’s so many ways to describe how Ja Morant leaves fans speechless every game, but to sum up his recent performancesit can be summed up in one phrase: he’s electric. With every ferocious dunk and pirouette, Morant emits an energy that sends fans into a full-blown frenzy. The third-year guard isn’t just elevating above the rim, he’s carrying his team to new heights, too. The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the hottest teams in the NBA currently, rattling off 10 straight wins, thanks in large part tobecause of Morant’s contributions. He’s upped his scoring from 19.1 points per game a season ago to 24.9 points per game in 2021-2022. Even if you're a fan of another team, you can’t deny that Morant is one of the most entertaining players in the league right now.

Trae Young

Trae Young, Guard, Atlanta Hawks: 91 OVR (+1)

The Atlanta Hawks might be in a minor rut right now, but it has nothing to do with Trae Young. Despite his team being marred with injuries, the former Oklahoma product is keeping things competitive by going nuclear on a nightly basis. Young has totaled 32.2 points per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, and 11.4 assists per game over the last two weeks. On January 3, the 23-year-old guard dropped 56 points and 14 assists against the Portland Trail Blazers. Young is doing all he can to keep his team afloat in the playoff hunt, while demonstrating just how gifted he is as an offensive assassin.

NBA 2K22 UPDATED PLAYER RATINGS 12.16.21

It wouldn’t be the Holidays without a little NBA action! We’re ahead of schedule, but we want to give you an early Xmas present by unveiling the latest list of Player Ratings changes in NBA 2K22. This week, we’re featuring a pair of forwards in the Eastern Conference, as well as a rising rookie in the heart of Michigan. See who’s rising and falling in our latest Player Ratings below!

Sabonis - 87

Domantas Sabonis, Forward, Indiana Pacers: 87 OVR (+1)

Drafted No. 11 overall in the 2016 NBA Draft, Domantas Sabonis has grown into one of the best big men in the league. Sabonis’ size makes him an ideal modern-day power forward, but his athleticism and shot-making ability elevate his prototypical traits. It’s rare you see a center average more than 15 points a game anymore, but Sabonis is an exception, averaging almost 20 points and 12 rebounds per game. The Indiana Pacers might be finding their footing as a team, but Sabonis established himself as a premier talent long ago.

Jarrett Allen, Center, Cleveland Cavaliers: 86 OVR (+1)

We’re witnessing the rise of Jarrett Allen, both literally and figuratively. Players who drive on Allen have a death wish, considering he’s one of the best paint defenders in the league, but he’s also polishing his offensive skills. Since last season, Allen has improved his total rebounds per game and is averaging four more points per game with a total of 17.3. The Cavs are one of the feel-good stories in the NBA this year because the roster is exceeding expectations and developing into a playoff contender, largely thanks to Allen’s growth. Don’t be surprised if Allen takes home the Most Improved Player hardware at the end of the year.

Cade Cunningham, Guard, Detroit Pistons: 79 OVR (+1)

Before he set foot on an NBA court, Cade Cunningham oozed with potential, but he had to prove it. Across 21 starts this season, the No. 1 overall pick is averaging 15 points per game and just went toe-to-toe with one of the NBA’s best scorers in Kevin Durant. The Pistons were unable to defeat the Brooklyn Nets recently, but Cunningham shot 50 percent from the field with five made threes for an impressive stat line: 26 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. It’s clear the rookie’s confidence is growing by the day and he’s feeling more comfortable with the pace of the professional game. The Pistons found a real one in Cunningham, and with time it should translate to more wins for the franchise. You’ll find the updated list of player ratings below, listed by team:

NBA 2K22 UPDATED PLAYER RATINGS 12.03.21

Regular season giants are rising and so are notable names around the league. Trae Young, Kristaps Porziņģis, Julius Randle, and Draymond Green are the featured players in the latest NBA 2K22 Player Ratings update.

Trae Young NBA 2K22

Trae Young, Guard, Atlanta Hawks: 90 OVR (+1)

Ice Trae keeps the ball on a tight leash, weaving around and through defenders at will, and he’s a lethal long-range sniper. In five straight games this season, Young posted 30 points or more, leading his team to victory four out of five matchups. Young is developing into the superstar many thought he could be during his days at the University of Oklahoma. After leading his squad to the Eastern Conference Finals last year, fans are realizing he’s the leader the Atlanta Hawks need and one of the shining talents around the league. Young has already earned one all-star nod and he should earn several more before his career is all said and done. Appreciate the rise of the next great NBA star.

Kristaps Porziņģis NBA 2K22

Kristaps Porziņģis, Forward/Center, Dallas Mavericks: 85 OVR (+1)

In his third season as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, the Porzingod is healthy and flourishing—finally! The 26-year-old Latvian-born big man has all the potential in the world, boasting a unique combination of size, athleticism, and shooting range. Over 14 starts this season, he’s averaging 19.6 points per game, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks. When the Mavs traded for Porziņģis in 2019, many pundits and fans were excited by the prospect of a Porziņģis-Luka Dončić one-two punch, but injuries have stood in the way of the duo seeing their true potential. Through 19 games this season, the tandem have Dallas fourth in the Western Conference, and all signs point to a promising season, especially from Porziņģis as long as he can stay healthy.

Julius Randle NBA 2K22

Julius Randle, Forward, New York Knicks: 84 OVR (-2)

Since arriving in the Big Apple, Julius Randle has been the King of New York - but lately the Knicks have struggled. Randle is oozing with talent and is a proven playmaker, so his rating deduction says more about the current state of the Knicks, rather than a major dropoff in his game. Head Coach Tom Thibodeau is experimenting with the lineup at the moment, but fans should expect Randle and company to get back on track soon. Recently, Randle dropped 24 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and added 2 steals against the cross-town rival Brooklyn Nets. The former Kentucky Wildcat is still posting 19.4 points per game, 10.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists this season, and that’s nothing to scoff at.

Draymond Green NBA 2K22

Draymond Green, Forward, Golden State Warriors: 83 OVR (+3)

Search every roster in the NBA and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a player with a higher basketball IQ than Draymond Green. For many years, Green played the role of the enforcer for the Warriors, and in many ways he still does. But now more than ever, the former Michigan State Spartan is facilitating and orchestrating Head Coach Steve Kerr’s system to perfection. Statistically, Green won’t blow you away with his numbers, but his value isn’t in the statsheet. Even without Klay Thompson to start the 2021-2022 campaign, Green and Steph Curry have hoisted the Warriors to a sterling record of 18-3, and look like title contenders. NBA 2K22 UPDATED PLAYER RATINGS 11.18.21

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are setting the league on fire right now, jumping out to a 12-2 record—and as of this writing they don’t even have Klay Thompson back yet. The Dubs are one of the biggest storylines in the Association, but they aren’t the only squad garnering well-deserved attention. In the East, the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards are out in front, surprising many pundits with stellar performances from their new-look rosters. The NBA and its players are in mid-season form already, which means it’s time for another NBA 2K22 Player Ratings update.

NBA2K22 Player Ratings Durant

Kevin Durant, Forward, Brooklyn Nets: 97 OVR (+1)

KD is undeniably one of the greatest players, and scorers, of all time, but what he’s doing in his 14th season is remarkable—especially when you consider the torn achilles tendon he suffered a couple years back. Durant is currently leading the league in scoring, averaging 29.6 points per game; if the season ended today, he’d earn the fifth scoring title of his illustrious career. It’s hard to imagine a world where Durant gets better than he already is, but somehow he continues to exceed expectations, resulting in a bump to his 2K rating.

NBA2K22 Player Ratings Curry

Stephen Curry, Point Guard, Golden State Warriors: 97 OVR (+1)

Make no mistake, Nikola Jokić earned his MVP win last year, but Curry was also more than deserving of the prestigious award. The former Davidson Wildcat was on a mission in 2020 and he’s carried that momentum into this season. The former MVP and three-time champion has hoisted the Warriors to the best record in the league (12-2) across 14 games, and they look unstoppable. Just when you think Curry can’t amaze you anymore, he does something that makes you question whether he was genetically engineered in a lab to make him utterly invincible. The out-of-this-world superstar is receiving a one-point bump to his rating, and it’s entirely possible it rises again in the future.

NBA2K22 Player Ratings Morant

Ja Morant, Point Guard, Memphis Grizzlies: 90 OVR (+1)

Every year, it feels like there’s a handful of point guards who get snubbed from the All-Star roster. Whether it’s because of inexperience or because they play for a small-market team, it’s a sad reality of the game. Ja Morant was one of those players just a season ago, but in 2021, he belongs in the All-Star Game. Right now, Morant is one of the best point guards in the Western Conference, and he’s building out his arsenal of moves on a weekly basis. Morant is as electric as they come—one can hope he gives fans what they want by participating in this year's dunk contest—and he’s turning the Memphis Grizzlies into a yearly playoff contender.

NBA2K22 Player Ratings Gobert

Rudy Gobert, Center, Utah Jazz: 90 OVR (+1)

Gobert has always been a shot-blocking machine, but every year it seems like he improves in the rebounding category. Through the early portion of this season, the French big man is dominating the glass, leading the league with an average of 15.4 rebounds per game. Towering above the competition at 7’1”, Gobert is a menace in the low post, and it’s rare an opposing player rips a rebound away from him. His presence leads to numerous second-chance points and keeps rival offenses honest if they’re brave enough to power their way into the paint. Gobert has established himself as one of the best centers in the league, and it’s time his rating reflected that.

NBA2K22 Player Ratings DeRozan

Demar Derozan, Guard-Forward, Chicago Bulls: 89 OVR (+1)

Demar Derozan’s third act in the NBA is the kind of redemption story you’d find in the pages of a comic book. As one of the newest members of the Chicago Bulls, the former USC Trojan is playing the role of a hero for the city’s beloved franchise after struggling to find his identity with the San Antonio Spurs. Derozan seemed like he was doomed to become a forgotten character, but has reemerged and is making a concerted effort to save the day in Chi-Town. With a cast of capable teammates backing him up, Derozan is thriving in his new threads.

NBA 2K22 UPDATED PLAYER RATINGS 11.03.21

We’re only two weeks into the start of the 2021-2022 NBA season and we’ve already seen a handful of highlights, thrilling overtime games, and players in mid-season form. Prior to the start of the regular season, we released the list of player ratings for NBA 2K22. Naturally, there were some surprises and some snubs, but with two weeks of games under our belt, we can now reassess the ratings. Let’s break down the most notable changes and the players that are excelling.

Player Ratings George

Paul George, SF, Los Angeles Clippers: 90 OVR (+2)

It’s early, but right now, Paul George is averaging the most points of his career at 28.3 per game. Expected to carry the Clippers without Kawhi Leonard, PG has answered the call so far this season, even if it hasn’t translated to wins yet. The Los Angeles native has high expectations this season and is viewed by many as a potential MVP candidate. PG is rolling with a full head of steam, let’s see if he can keep it going.

Player Ratings Towns

Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves: 89 OVR (+2)

KAT is undeniably one of the best big men in the game and has a knack for scoring from virtually anywhere on the court. It should come as no surprise that he’s posting his typical numbers of 24 points, nearly 10 rebounds, and four assists per game, but what he’s doing from an efficiency standpoint is insane. He’s currently shooting 52 percent from the field and knocking down 50 percent of his three point attempts, let that sink in. Between KAT and Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves might make some noise this year.

Player Ratings Morant

Ja Morant, PG, Memphis Grizzlies: 89 OVR (+4)

Serious question, is there anything Ja can’t do? He can leap over defenders with a single bound, he can speed from one end of the court to the other in the blink of an eye, and he can score at will with a graceful touch. The former No. 2 overall pick is making an early case for Most Improved Player of the Year, posting 28.3 points per game, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.7 assists—all career-highs—while hoisting his squad into a legitimate playoff contender year-in and year-out. Morant is a rising star, so it’s only right his rating ascends too.

Player Ratings LaMelo Ball

LaMelo Ball, PG, Charlotte Hornets: 87 OVR (+3)

How great is LaMelo? Whatever expectations you had for him, he’s exceeded them and then some. We saw Steph Curry change the game by extending what’s considered an “acceptable shot,” is it possible that LaMelo is changing the game based on how he plays it? That’s a debate for another time, but no one can deny the fact LaMelo has the Hornets off to their hottest start in years. The youngest Ball brother is receiving a three-point upgrade to his rating and there’s a good chance it might go up again this season if he keeps performing at a high level. Now that the updated ratings are live, check out the full list below:
