FEATURED PLAYERS
Cooper Flagg, Guard, Dallas Mavericks: 87 OVR (+1)
The first-overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft has put together a marvelous first half to start his rookie season, assuming point guard duties and taking on a prominent leadership role for the Dallas Mavericks. As he’s settled in, Flagg has quickly picked up the pace of the professional level and looks more confident in playmaking and getting to his spots on the floor.
Heading into All-Star Weekend, Flagg is averaging a robust 33 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists over the past two weeks. The 19-year-old is competing at an All-Star level, outperforming the scoring output of MVP candidates Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (28.3) and Luka Dončić (26) during the two-week stretch.
Stephon Castle, Guard, San Antonio Spurs: 85 OVR (+1)
Last year’s runner-up in the AT&T Slam Dunk Contest is back for 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend, but he’ll be participating in the Rising Stars event alongside Cooper Flagg on Team Melo.
Despite not taking home the dunk contest hardware last year, Castle finished the season with a more coveted award: NBA Rookie of the Year. In his first season with the San Antonio Spurs, Castle showed that he has the talent to star alongside Victor Wembanyama for years to come. In his sophomore season, Castle has continued to build on a stellar rookie campaign, and he’s entering the Rising Stars event with a full head of steam.
Earlier this week, Castle posted a ridiculous 40-point triple-double against Flagg and the Mavericks, chipping in 12 rebounds and 12 assists, with 3 steals and 1 block in the 13-point win. Castle and Flagg will be teammates this weekend, but watching these two go head-to-head throughout their careers will be highly entertaining.
Alexandre Sarr, Center, Washington Wizards: 84 OVR (+1)
The Washington Wizards are quickly putting together a team that should be able to contend in the Eastern Conference next year—with the additions of Trae Young and Anthony Davis—and the team’s promising second-year star, Alex Sarr, is expected to play a significant role in its future.
Selected with the second-overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Alex Sarr has blossomed into a versatile playmaker and elite rim protector. The French big man has made strides this season, improving his field goal efficiency (53%) and becoming a more reliable double-double contributor. In the last two weeks, he’s notched a career-high in rebounds (17) and is averaging 16 points and 10.3 rebounds per game during the stretch.
