FEATURED PLAYERS
Scottie Barnes, Forward, Toronto Raptors: 88 OVR (+1)
As someone who went top-five in the 2021 NBA Draft, Scottie Barnes has flown relatively under the radar, and he deserves more recognition.
The former Rookie of the Year and 2023-2024 All-Star is in the midst of a career season, setting new highs in points (20.3), free-throw percentage (84%), field goal percentage (51%), and blocks (1.6). Seeing a bump to his individual stats is one thing, but, more importantly, he led his team to an impressive 15-7 record, good for second in the Eastern Conference. There’s a good chance Barnes earns the second All-Star selection of his career this season, but time will tell.
Cooper Flagg, Forward, Dallas Mavericks: 81 OVR (+1)
A star is emerging in Dallas.
This year’s No. 1 overall pick appears to be settling into the pace and physicality of the NBA. There’s never been a question about Flagg’s raw athleticism or sensational skills, but there’s understandably a learning curve transitioning from the collegiate level to the pros.
Over 20 games into his rookie season, Flagg is averaging 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game; however, in the last two weeks, he’s averaging 20.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game. Flagg has scored more than 20 points in three consecutive outings, including a 35-point eruption in a win against the Los Angeles Clippers.
As Flagg continues to get acclimated, he’ll ascend from phenom to superstar in no time.
Josh Hart, Guard, New York Knicks: 81 OVR (+3)
The ultimate utility player, Josh Hart serves a bevy of roles for the New York Knicks. Listed as a guard at 6'5”, 215 pounds, Hart doesn’t let his size prevent him from out-rebounding many of the league’s best big men.
Last season, under former Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau, Hart led the league in minutes played with a robust 37.6 minutes per game. Under new head coach Mike Brown, Hart is averaging only 28.8 minutes per game, but he’s still finding ways to be impactful. In the last two weeks, Hart’s nearly averaging a double-double, posting 16.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per game during that span. Let Hart do the dirty work for your squad in NBA 2K26 and fill the stat sheet.
