Learn how to level up your MyPLAYER’s Badges quickly in NBA 2K26 by visiting the Open Court Athletics gym and completing Dion’s Challenge.

Now that you’ve thoughtfully selected your MyPLAYER’s Badges and completed your build in NBA 2K26, you may be wondering how you can max out your Badges quickly.

After you’ve finished creating your MyPLAYER, using the MyPLAYER Builder, make your way to The City and head over to the Open Court Athletics training gym, located next to the Gatorade Training Facility.

Walk inside and look for the chalkboard with two five-man lineups, featuring NBA stars from around the league. At the top of the board, you’ll see “Dion’s Challenge,” and the objective is to get 5 assists in games against each of the players shown on the board. If you successfully complete the objective, you’ll earn a 3x Badge Multiplier.

These games only last around two to five minutes, but that should be enough time to work on different Badges, as long as you dish out 5 assists. Choose between Rookie, Semi-Pro, and Pro difficulties as you work on Limitless Range by shooting from deep, Layup Mixmaster by finishing tough shots in the paint, and more.

Practice your combos and level up your Badge tiers in no time at all.

The MyPLAYER Builder in NBA 2K26 offers a few ways to bring your NBA dreams to life, but creating a MyPLAYER from scratch can be difficult if you don’t know where to start.

In this guide we’ll share five tips to be mindful of when creating your MyPLAYER in NBA 2K26; let’s take a look.

Use the Animation Glossary

The brand new Animation Glossary in NBA 2K26 is available to help you make informed decisions when building your MyPLAYER. The Animation Glossary lists every animation with details about attribute and height requirements for added context.

If you have a specific player you’d like to model your game after, use the Search function to find who you’re looking for; whether you want Stephen Curry’s quick release or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s smooth jumper, it’s easy to locate and see the requirements for every animation.

Create a build you’re excited about and feel comfortable with by utilizing this all-new feature.

Pay Attention to Badge Requirements

When you fine tune the height of your player, pay attention to the Badge Tiers and how they fluctuate based on your MyPLAYER’s physical attributes. Badge Tiers range from Bronze to Legend, and depending on your build you may set limitations on the tier of your MyPLAYER’s Badges.

It’s important to pay attention to these, especially when it comes to applying new Max +1 and Max +2s. These are Badge Perks that push your Badges one or two tiers beyond their max potential.

For a more streamlined experience, try the new Build By Badges feature in NBA 2K26, designed to help shape the framework of your MyPLAYER. Choose your desired Badges and tiers—Bronze, Silver, Gold, Hall of Fame, and Legend—and the minimum attribute points required will automatically be locked in, meaning you can then spend your remaining attribute points to max out categories of your choosing and reach 99 Potential Overall without missing out on your must-haves.

Be Strategic with Cap Breakers

Cap Breakers in NBA 2K26 are evolving. Originally introduced in NBA 2K25, Cap Breakers are a way to push your build’s attribute potential beyond the cap!

Cap Breakers allow you to raise your highest-rated attributes by +1 point, but savvy players who apply them to lower-rated attributes will see greater boosts. For example, if your favorite MyPLAYER build is struggling in The REC because its Free Throw rating is low, a Cap Breaker could raise your Free Throw rating by double-digit points and provide a significant improvement.

Leave the Door Open for Custom Takeovers

Custom Takeovers allow you to design your Takeover from scratch, choosing the targeted attributes that are boosted and pairing them with any Takeover Ability.

Similar to Badges, pay attention to Takeovers when building your MyPLAYER and what the attribute requirements are for each ability. By doing so, when you unlock a new Custom Takeover, you’ll be able to apply an ability you want your build to use.

Make a Build You Want

This is the most important tip: Make a build that you will have fun playing with in NBA 2K26. There’s more than one way to make an impact on the court, and as long as you’re contributing in a way that’s fun to you, that’s all that matters.

Hitting the weight room is just as important as putting up shots in the gym. In NBA 2K26, the Gatorade Training Facility is where you can complete physical workouts that not only unlock your MyPLAYER’s physical appearance, but will also improve your Stamina on the court and reward you with the Workout Warrior Badge for completing all 12 exercises.

For each workout you complete, you’ll be awarded MyPOINTS based on how many stars you achieve and a +2 increase to your MyPLAYER’s Stamina, which starts at 85 OVR. An Excellent Session, 3 or more stars on 4 workouts, rewards new body types and an additional turbo meter for the week.

To earn a permanent boost to your turbo meter, you’ll need to unlock the Workout Warrior Badge, which will be rewarded once you complete all 12 exercises. You can only complete 4 workouts every 7 days, so finishing all 12 exercises will take you a minimum of 3 weeks. The time and effort—like actual physical exercise—is worth it for a 99 Stamina rating, all available body types, and the Workout Warrior Badge for all of your builds, meaning you won’t have to repeat the process if you decide to make an all-new build through Rebirth.
