Consumables are a useful way of upgrading your team and can be applied to your MyTEAM players to help improve a card's attributes in a particular area of their game.

The first set of consumables is the Shoe Colorway Card and the Shoe Boost Card. A Shoe Colorway card will consist of a shoe that you can put on a player. What’s unique about the Shoe Colorway card is that it is activated in the MT Shoe Lab by applying Shoe Boost attributes to that particular shoe. So for example, if you have a player who needs a boost in his three point shooting ability and his speed then you can apply those attributes to the shoe and then assign the shoe to the player. It is important to remember that certain players can only wear certain shoes depending on their brand affiliation so for example Nike shoes can only be applied to Nike athletes.

The second important consumable that can be applied to a player are Badges. Just like any other game-mode in NBA 2K23, badges help a player who has an exceptionally high rating in a certain area improve certain aspects of their game. Badges can be earned and used in two different ways. The first way is to apply a new badge to a player who has a qualified attribute level for that badge’s particular skill. The second way is to upgrade a badge that a player currently already has.

Both badges and shoe cards can both help improve your MyTEAM.
