NBA 2K25 releases this week including a revamped MyTEAM mode with four new game modes, thousands of player cards to collect, and many rewards to earn! If this is your first glimpse at a MyTEAM Playbook, this webpage details recent and upcoming packs, rewards, and events for MyTEAM throughout the year. This year will not follow an every-Thursday release schedule, so be sure to keep an eye on our official Social Media and the in-game What’s New tab when a new Playbook releases!

HIDDEN GEMS & GEMS OF THE GAME

MyTEAM in NBA 2K25 launches with over 3,600 Player Cards! The ‘25 NBA: Series 1 Collection, familiar to many with previous MyTEAM experience, contains over 400 of those cards. This collection represents the current NBA rosters filled with modern All-Stars, MVPs, Champions, and the new ‘24-’25 rookie class.

Nearly 1,700 of these cards are contained in the Gems of the Game Collection, a returning name but new theme. Featuring a wide variety of Player Cards across all eras of the NBA, this collection is both a collector’s delight and could contain the missing piece for your competitive lineups. Collecting cards from this collection will definitely help with future Exchanges as well. Gems of the Game cards are all available Day 1 from Packs and the Auction House, as well as uncommon rewards across the mode. 

Finally, almost 1,500 cards are in the new Hidden Gems Collection. Many of these cards will be released in a future premium set, so adding a Hidden Gem card to your collection is getting an exclusive sneak peek at an unreleased Player Card! To start the year, these player cards can be earned through Reward Packs. Then, once these Player Cards are released in their planned sets, they will automatically change their theme and art to become the newly released Player Card, giving you a jump start on that new collection.

FULL THROTTLE

Tipping off NBA 2K25’s MyTEAM is Full Throttle! With a throwback name and featuring 96 overall Pink Diamond LeBron James! Pick up the tempo and go flatout with eleven 92-94 overall players including two statsheet stuffers, Diamond Russell Westbrook and Diamond Wilt Chamberlain! The diamond-rated Full Throttle players include options at every position, ready to super-charge your first MyTEAM lineups as you hit Triple Threat Park or Showdown! 

Collect the headlining trio of LeBron, Wilt, and Westbrook and you will be eligible for the Full Throttle Headliner Collection Reward, a 95+ Overall Hidden Gem Pack! This pack contains a guaranteed powerful player card, rated as a Pink Diamond or better with a chance at an unreleased Galaxy Opal or even 99 Overall Dark Matter Michael Jordan!

Over 2,000 different Player Cards are able to come out of these Full Throttle packs, including players from ‘25 NBA: Series 1 and Gems of the Game collections; each able to be sold and purchased off the returning Auction House. Remember, the first pack you open each day on the Showcase Spot in Triple Threat Park will also give you 30 minutes of 2xREP for MyTEAM!

REWARDS

Play, earn, collect, and be rewarded for playing how you want in NBA 2K25’s MyTEAM. For the first week in MyTEAM, head to the Pack Market and redeem the #2KDAY Pack which gives a special MyTEAM Prize Ball. Play games with this ball equipped and win to try and break open this basketball, containing a guaranteed Gems of the Game Player Card Pack.

Breakout

Navigate Breakout City to reach its limits and break out of the board to earn your run reward. Be sure to search around and see what rewards you can find on this outer rim. Keep an eye on your Prize Points. You must reach Prize Point thresholds to unlock the rewards on each board. Earn Prize Points by winning games and completing optional objectives. Once you select a reward spot, you will face a themed gatekeeper team who will do their best to stop you! There are plenty of secrets in this new single player experience, we look forward to seeing what you discover!

Triple Threat Park

You can earn rewards every day in Triple Threat Park for winning 1 game, 3 games in a row, and 5 games in a row. For Season 1, upgrade your players with Takeovers and Diamond Shoes for 1 win and 3 win streak rewards, respectively. String together 5 Ws in a row to earn an 84+ OVR pack with ‘25 NBA: Series 1 or Gems of the Game Player Cards to add to your collection or improve it.

Showdown

Jump into Showdown and start adding Ws to your Season 1 totals. Get at least 3 wins to earn weekly prizes which drop every Friday at 8am Pacific Time. Reach 3 wins, or upgrade your prizes by getting 7 wins to choose between a sellable prize, an unauctionable prize, or MyTEAM Points! As you rise up the Showdown Tiers towards Tier 1, the rewards for both the 3 win and 7 win prizes get better and better.

King of the Court

You have some time to earn your way into the first King of the Court event, taking place Saturday September 14th at 10am-2pm Pacific Time. All you need to compete is either 5 wins in Showdown, or 2 days of getting a 5 win streak in Triple Threat Park. Remember, earning your way to the Amethyst MyTEAM REP level will also earn you permanent access to these events without qualification.

On top of 1,000,000 VC and exclusive items and cards for #1 overall, the first kings will also earn the first guaranteed 97 or 98 Galaxy Opal Hidden Gems cards! Hidden Gems Players will be rewarded for those who reach the top 1%, with Player Award Packs being the prize for the top 10% and top 50% in this first event!

Salary Cap

Build your best lineups to meet the Salary Cap threshold and earn rewards in Season 1. Salary Cap returns with faster games and progression for every game completed, win or lose. This mode may contain the most obtainable guaranteed Hidden Gems Player Cards, be sure to compete here and earn these great rewards!

Domination

NBA 2K25’s MyTEAM launches with 2 Dominations for you to compete against the AI in single player games. Get started with adjustable difficulties, but play on the toughest available to defeat your opponent by a defined score differential to earn 3 stars for that game. Earning 99 Stars in the ‘25 NBA Domination will earn you 91 Overall Amethyst Jalen Brunson. Get 99 Stars in the Eras Domination, where you will face 30 teams from the 70s to today, to earn 94 Overall Diamond Tim Duncan! You can choose to start either Domination immediately, but know that the difficulties and opponents are tougher in the Eras Domination.

Collector Level

As mentioned in the Courtside Report, you can now choose to “Lock In” Player Cards that are not in a collection that gives a Collection Reward. Player Cards that are Locked In are counted in your HUD in the MyTEAM menus and will progress the first Collector Challenges.  At 1,000 Player Cards Locked In, you will earn the first and only Legend Badge Pack available at launch in NBA 2K25’s MyTEAM! Look for additional Collector Challenges in future Seasons.
