What’s up, NBA 2K Fans! Are you ready for the start of the 2024-2025 NBA season and Season 2 of NBA 2K25? We’ve got a host of exciting details to share with you regarding Season 2, featuring Denver Nuggets star point guard and NBA champion Jamal Murray.

We’re a little over a month into NBA 2K25 and the competition around The City (PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PC) and The Neighborhood (PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch) has been fierce—but the fun is only just beginning. For the next six weeks, you can look forward to out-of-this world content, a special look at Murray’s signature New Balance TWO WXY v5 shoe, all-new MyTEAM cards, and more! Prepare for Season 2 and NBA tip-off as we detail what's heading your way.

MyCAREER

Season 1 of NBA 2K25 was packed with a bevy of MyCAREER rewards, including Emotes, Green Releases, MyCOURT themes, and MyPLAYER cosmetics. Hopefully you were able to snag some of them and showcase your style as your MyCAREER legacy continues to unfold. 

For Season 2, we’re adding even more new content for you to earn so you can expand your collection of MyPLAYER rewards. Compete in NBA 2K25 to earn XP and level up to climb your way from Level 1 to Level 40 on the Season rewards ladder—and don’t forget, you can claim additional premium rewards with the Season Pro Pass*.

2K x Jamal Murray: New Balance TWO WXY v5

Jamal Murray is a certified bucket; no matter the location or the occasion, he’s ready to lace up his New Balance TWO WXY v5s and hit the court. In collaboration with Murray for Season 2 of NBA 2K25, we’ve partnered with the Nuggets star to create a special, wearable version of his signature shoe in-game. Earn XP and level up to reach Level 32 to receive the New Balance TWO WXY v5.

Designed to capture Murray’s relentless attitude, his ability to make an impact whenever and wherever, and his love of NBA 2K, the TWO WXY v5 shoe features iridescent finishes and draws inspiration from various gem and diamond tiers from NBA 2K25.

MyTEAM

Get your MyTEAM lineup locked in for the start of the 2024-2025 NBA season with a fresh batch of Season 2 reward cards. With the return of the Auction House, there’s more than one way to bolster your collection and supplement your MyTEAM lineup, but earning XP by competing is a tried-and-true method for securing all-new cards. Season 2 introduces high-flying players from the modern NBA, Hall of Fame wings with a knack for scoring, and a roster of sharpshooting guards headlined by Jamal Murray.

Start your ascent to Level 40 with the Level 1 Sapphire Jamal Murray card, which comes with an Evolution to an 89 Overall Ruby. For the uninitiated, Evolution cards are unique cards that can be upgraded into better versions of a player by completing requirements to make the card evolve. Upgrade your Level 1 Jamal Murray evo card and produce a barrage of knock-down jumpshots with the Nuggets playmaker.

Keep climbing the Season rewards ladder to Level 20 and receive an Amethyst Obi Toppin card to give your MyTEAM some explosive athleticism. And for a Hall of Fame presence, reach Level 35 to claim a Diamond James Worthy card. This Los Angeles Lakers legend is a force to be reckoned with on the offensive end of the floor, and can give your unit some size on the wing or in the paint.

On your way to Level 40, you’ll have the chance to earn the aforementioned Murray, Toppin, and Worthy cards, plus a Level 34 Deluxe Pack Wheel Spin, Level 37 HOF Badge, Season 2 Ball and Uniforms, 2XP Coins, 35,000 MTP (MyTEAM Points), and more. But the ultimate reward awaiting you at Level 40 is the Pink Diamond Tyrese Haliburton card. The Indiana Pacers All-Star guard has quickly become one of the best players in the league because of his high IQ, red-hot three-point shooting, and exceptional playmaking gifts.

THE W ONLINE*

The WNBA Playoffs are coming down to the wire! Every basket, assist, steal, rebound, free throw, and foul has led to this moment: the WNBA Finals. While we wait for a champion to be crowned, you can chase your very own victory in The W, competing to earn XP for level-ups and all-new rewards. PRO PASS: SEASON 2

Every Season of NBA 2K25 comes loaded with a host of new rewards, cosmetics, and consumables for you to earn. Each Season features 40 Levels of available items, but you can enjoy additional content with the Season Pro Pass*, including Automatic Rewards Diamond Karl-Anthony Towns, Season 2 Pro Pass Pack, Animating on Fire Futuristic Helmet, and Animating on Fire Championship Belt.

On top of the 40 Levels included with each Season, the Season Pro Pass offers 40 Levels of premium rewards to give you even more to strive for. Independent record label, EMPIRE, partners with gaming juggernaut NBA 2K to craft Season 2 of NBA 2K25’s soundtrack along with exclusive digital in-game apparel. The two iconic Bay Area based companies created this partnership to continue to push culture forward through music, sports and gaming.

Season 2 of NBA 2K25 brings new content in addition to a meticulously curated playlist of future icons, multi-platinum and award winning EMPIRE artists such as Money Man, Key Glock, Babyface Ray, Asake, Peezy, Larry June, LUCKI, 310babii, and more. There will also be EMPIRE apparel available in-game from the 2K SWAGS store starting in October. The partnership will run through NBA All Star Weekend 2025 in San Francisco with additional announcements and in-game reveals to come.

GRAVITY BALL***

Today, 2K also announced Gravity Ball, the newest game from Visual Concepts South, the team behind Lego 2K Drive. Gravity Ball is a fast-paced online multiplayer game - accessible through NBA 2K25’s The City, as optional DLC for $7.99 - where players can take a break from the court and team up for a supercharged, futuristic experience with unconventional rules and a unique competitive thrill.

Enter an arena-like dome and compete in 3v3 or 5v5 formats and try to outscore the opposing squad by taking aim at a series of numbered targets. Work with your teammates to maintain possession, weave your way through the defense, and utilize Power-Ups to outscore the rival squad in this madcap mode. Play your way and earn NBA 2K25 Season XP and VC as you traverse the multi-tiered playing field and enjoy this reimagined spin on the game of basketball in the heart of The City.

What began as a passion project from the Lego 2K Drive team at VC South (who also developed The Track for NBA 2K25), quickly became one of the studio's favorite games to reach for internally and are eager to share it with the NBA 2K community.
