This Season, we’re celebrating college basketball in NBA 2K26. While 2K is building the definitive basketball universe—uniting the NBA, WNBA, and soon the collegiate ranks under one banner—we’re bringing the campus energy to The City and MyTEAM by featuring 16 iconic universities and some of their biggest stars.
Season 5 features all-new content from UCLA, Duke, Arizona, Kansas, Texas, Michigan, Michigan State, Louisville, Purdue, Kentucky, Florida, UNC, Baylor, Houston, Ohio State, and UConn. Celebrate the next generation of players, featuring Cameron Boozer and Lauren Betts, ready to carry the torch, while paying homage to the collegiate roots of superstars like Kevin Durant and Paige Bueckers, with a host of college-themed cosmetics and rewards.
Authentically representing the scale of college hoops is an ambitious project that begins with our foundational college basketball experience available in early 2027. We’ll have more details to share on that in the future, but for now, it’s time to get in the spirit and dive into everything Season 5 has to offer.
MyTEAM
The NBA, WNBA, and 16 of college basketball’s most esteemed schools joining forces in MyTEAM is a historic moment. Season 5 will include select players from each school’s Men’s and Women’s team, all-new challenges, and special alumni-themed rewards.
College Celebration Box
The addition of current college stars to MyTEAM calls for celebration. To kickstart your MyTEAM experience during Season 5, we’re gifting players a College Celebration Box with 5 Free Agent Option Packs, allowing you to quickly collect and play with the sport’s leading playmakers. To access your College Celebration Box, visit the Market and it will be available for redemption.
Each pack in the College Celebration Box will contain a selection of current college players, allowing you to choose one card from each pack to build a starting 5. Each player card from the College Celebration Box will be eligible to use for five games, so choose wisely and get started creating one-of-a-kind lineups.
Daily Challenge Games
From Season 5’s tipoff through March 30, current college players will be spotlighted daily via Challenge Games. NBA 2K players will be tasked with defeating an all-time version of the reward players’ college team, and upon completion will be rewarded an Evolution 94 OVR Diamond version of the featured college player. Playing 5 games with the player will evolve them to a 96 OVR Pink Diamond, and completing the final stat-based requirements will unlock their 98 OVR Galaxy Opal version!
There are 41 evolution rewards for these current college stars available to earn, starting with Cam Boozer and Lauren Betts, providing plenty of incentive to keep your eye on the prize all Season long. The challenges will rotate through various MyTEAM formats, 3v3 Triple Threat, 5v5 Clutch Time, and Full Lineup games which will use collegiate-inspired rulesets.

This Season, we’re leaning into nostalgia with some blasts from the past, rolling out alumni-themed NBA and WNBA player cards from their college years. Starting with the launch of Season 5, you can collect players from all 16 featured schools, including former Blue Devils, Wildcats, Gators, Buckeyes, and more.

Level 1 Diamond V.J. Edgecombe (Baylor Evo Card)
Jumpstart Season 5 with the Level 1 Diamond V.J. Edgecombe Evo card, and showcase the former Baylor product’s explosive athleticism in MyTEAM. Before he launched himself into NBA Rookie of the Year conversations, Edgecombe was a human highlight reel in college, where he put his high-flying skills and defensive prowess on display. Evolve this card into a Pink Diamond by completing Edgecombe’s college career-highs: 30 points in a game, 6 3-pointers in a game, and 7 assists in a game.
Level 10 Pink Diamond Marvin Bagley III (Duke)
Bagley’s lone season as a Duke Blue Devil was a historic one. The versatile stretch forward became the third player in conference history to lead the league in scoring (21 ppg), rebounding (11.1 rpg), and field goal percentage (61.4%). Bagley’s exceptional rebounding and soft touch in the paint made him a walking double-double. Use the Level 10 Pink Diamond Marvin Bagley III card to roll to the basket or fade to the elbow for an easy pick-and-pop.
Level 20 Galaxy Opal Jason Williams (Florida)
In 1997-1998, the college basketball world got its first taste of Jason Williams, aka ‘White Chocolate.’ At the University of Florida, Williams put on a show with creative no-look passes and one-handed dimes through the lane. His relentless pace and calculated decision-making often looked like controlled chaos, which made him a nightmare for opposing teams to defend. Add the Level 20 Galaxy Opal Jason Williams card to your lineup and dissect defenses with pinpoint passing and playmaking.
Level 28 Dark Matter Larry Brown Coach Card (Kansas)
A true teacher of the game, Larry Brown taught his players to be masters of the fundamentals, instilling a dedication to the details. It’s because of this philosophy that Brown earned a championship pedigree, becoming the only coach in history to win a college championship and an NBA championship. Help your MyTEAM play the right way with the Level 28 Dark Matter Larry Brown Coach card.
Level 30 Dark Matter Richard Hamilton (UConn)
An iconic member of UConn’s first national title, Richard ‘Rip’ Hamilton was a mid-range maestro whose smooth scoring led the Huskies offensively. ‘Rip’ antagonized defenses with his slippery off-ball movement, slithering through screens before catching a pass and knocking down an open mid-range shot. Use the Level 30 Dark Matter Richard Hamilton card in the half-court game to excel along the perimeter.
Level 35 100 OVR Breanna Stewart (UConn)
Historic, dominant, unstoppable. Breanna Stewart’s four years as a UConn Husky were the greatest stretch for any college basketball player in the history of the sport. She became the only player to win four consecutive championships and be named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player four times. Every facet of her game was undeniably great and translated to more success at the WNBA level.
Level 40 100 OVR Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors)
Draymond Green has always been the Golden State Warriors’ x-factor. His high basketball IQ, vocal leadership, and position versatility were key in helping head coach Steve Kerr’s squad build a dynasty and raise the Larry O’Brien trophy four times. Give your MyTEAM a veteran presence with the Level 40 100 OVR Draymond Green card and put on a playmaking clinic with point guard and power forward eligibility at both ends of the floor.
